![]() Ottawa (AFP) April 21, 2011 An Ontario pension fund walked away from the purchase of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) as Japan's woes dimmed the market prospects for new nuclear plants, a Canadian newspaper said Thursday. The Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System had been negotiating with engineering firm SNC-Lavalin Group to jointly buy AECL from the Canadian government.
