RWE in the red on German nuclear phase-out
Frankfurt (AFP) Nov 10, 2011
RWE, Germany's second-biggest power supplier, said Thursday it plunged into the red in the third quarter, not least as a result of the country's decision to phase out nuclear power. RWE said in a statement it booked a net loss of 174 million euros ($235 million) in the period from July to September, compared with a year-earlier profit of 594 million euros.
