EU probes Areva, Siemens civil nuclear deal

European competition regulators announced on Wednesday they are probing the terms of a deal between French and German nuclear giants Areva and Siemens. The European Commission is investigating whether "non-compete clauses... in the field of civil nuclear technology may be in violation of European Union antitrust rules," according to a statement.
