France signed a cooperation accord with Morocco on Friday to help the north African country advance its plans to build a nuclear power plant. A court in central Sweden on Thursday handed out fines to 29 Greenpeace activists who broke into a nuclear power plant earlier this month, according to judicial sources. Environmental campaigners on Wednesday urged Thailand to shelve its nuclear power proposals, warning that the cost of the project could be much greater than expected.
