Beyond Gravity joins MDA AURORATM supply chain with constellation computers

Beyond Gravity, a prominent supplier to the space industry, has been selected by MDA Space Ltd. (TSX:MDA) to be part of the supply chain for MDA AURORATM, a pioneering product line facilitating the transition from analog to digital satellite technology.

Under the agreement, Beyond Gravity will deliver 252 "constellation On-Board Computers (cOBCs)" equipped with integrated navigation receivers and antennas for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellations. These cOBCs are designed for satellite command and control, reconfiguration, and precise GNSS positioning, enhanced by the accompanying GNSS antennas.

The units are optimized for high-volume production and known for their reliability. Deliveries are slated to commence this year. The MDA AURORATM supply chain will contribute to product deliveries for Telesat's Telesat Lightspeed, a next-generation global network that aims to provide enterprise-class connectivity to clients around the world.

Kober emphasized that this agreement represents a significant milestone for Beyond Gravity's Electronic Solutions business unit, underlining the company's strong foothold in the commercial space market.

The software-defined MDA AURORATM product line is designed to meet the evolving technical and business needs of the satellite industry, offering operators exceptional flexibility and functionality while significantly boosting constellation performance at lower costs and faster time to market.
