Boeing and TrustComm, Inc., of Stafford, Va., are partnering to sell satellite bandwidth to government and commercial users as a way of addressing the increasing demand for satellite communications capacity.

Boeing, an authorized reseller of Inmarsat capacity, and TrustComm, will sell bandwidth from Inmarsat's Global Xpress high-speed mobile broadband service.

"TrustComm becomes the first service provider for Boeing Commercial Satellite Services (BCSS), and TrustComm's access to certain government markets will augment our sales efforts," said Jim Mitchell, BCSS vice president. "We believe this partnership will allow us to penetrate more deeply into additional markets."

Through BCSS, Boeing works with owners of active satellite systems to market available bandwidth and to include hosted payloads on future spacecraft.

"We will assist Boeing with global outreach through a combination of market and technical knowledge, coupled with an existing infrastructure that can provide instant, robust and easily deployable connectivity," said Bob Roe, TrustComm chief executive officer.

TrustComm is a global provider of assured, customized satellite communications services for companies and government agencies that require instant, robust and easily deployable connectivity. TrustComm was acquired in 2013 by the American investment group, Global Secure Networks Inc.
