Building MLM Under Way at Khrunichev
by Staff Writers
Moscow, Russia (SPX) Sep 04, 2012

Illustration only.

The Khrunichev Space Center continue to build the flight version of the Multipurpose Laboratory Module (MLM) for the International Space Station.

As of today, Khrunichev have mounted the ESA Robotic Arm, have laid down the onboard harness, have tested the thermal control system and the pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and are mating and tuning the solar panels.

The MLM will be passed over to the Energia Corporation (presumably before the end of this year) for system-level tests as soon as the fabrication, assembly and integration of the flight article have been completed.
