Elbit Systems gets $30 million thermal imaging contract

Elbit Systems has been awarded an approximately $30 million contract to provide advanced thermal imaging systems to an unidentified European country, the company announced Wednesday.

The systems will serve all levels of the country's army, from dismounted soldiers to the headquarters command, Elbit said in a statement.

Among the systems to be provided are the Long View CR observation system that offers the foot soldier long-range observation suited for target acquisition with day and night capabilities.

The contract also involves a fixed installation long-range observation system and the XACT observation system for dismounted soldiers.

Kollsman receives $11 million Common Laser Range Finder contract
Washington (UPI) Jul 20, 2016 - Kollsman Inc. has been awarded an $11 million firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity delivery order for the Common Laser Range Finder -- Integrated Capability, or CLRF-IC.

The array is a handheld, lightweight, man portable GPS target location device.

It assists the operator in determining the location of a target or other object of interest by measuring the distance, direction and vertical angle of the operator to the object.

The delivery order provides for the system and associated rails, covers, cases and cables.

Work will be performed in New Hampshire.

The estimated completion date is July 2020.

Marine Corps Systems Command is the contracting activity.
