Hughes Network Systems, LLC, a subsidiary of EchoStar Corporation (Nasdaq: SATS), proudly unveils the Hughes HL1120W Terminal, marking a significant advancement in satellite communications. This new electronically steerable antenna (ESA) terminal is now approved for use within the Eutelsat OneWeb low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite network. This certification signals a major step forward, enabling Hughes to offer Eutelsat OneWeb's high-speed, low-latency connectivity services worldwide.

Leveraging its extensive experience in LEO satellite technology, Hughes has played a key role in the development of gateway and core modem technology for OneWeb terminals, further cementing its status as a leader in satellite engineering.

Dan Rasmussen, the senior vice president and general manager of Hughes' North America Enterprise Division, highlighted the terminal's ability to deliver dependable, enterprise-level LEO connectivity to isolated areas. Rasmussen emphasized that Hughes' Managed LEO service caters to a diverse clientele, including the military, government entities, public safety organizations, retail businesses, and energy providers, underscoring the transformative potential of this technology in enhancing connectivity.

Echoing this sentiment, Juan Pablo Cofino, regional vice president of the Americas at Eutelsat OneWeb, expressed enthusiasm about incorporating the HL1120W into their portfolio. Cofino praised Hughes for its longstanding partnership and technological contributions, which are crucial for expanding Eutelsat OneWeb's connectivity solutions globally. The collaboration aims to activate the HL1120W for communities, businesses, and government agencies worldwide.

The Hughes HL1120W Terminal is engineered for outdoor use, boasting a lightweight, low-power, and weather-resistant design for ease of installation and maintenance. Featuring a robust aluminum chassis, the terminal is pre-configured for immediate use, including self-alignment to the Eutelsat OneWeb satellite constellation. It comes with an indoor unit equipped with a Wi-Fi 6 router and two GigE LAN ports, all manufactured in Hughes' Maryland facility.

Hughes' Managed LEO service offers a high-speed, low-latency connectivity solution ideal for remote and challenging locations. As an authorized OneWeb distributor, Hughes provides this service as part of a managed broadband package, multi-orbit mobility, enterprise solutions, or within a multi-transport Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) or specialized military network.
