Intertek has announced that Ingeteam has joined Intertek's SATELLITETM data acceptance program. Intertek's SATELLITE data acceptance program integrates speed, flexibility, and cost effectiveness into the product development process by accepting internal laboratory test data of qualifying customers, provided the laboratory meets global quality standard IEC 17025.

Ingeteam's technology and research and development center for solar photovoltaic (PV) inverter products in Spain has met the stringent standards of the program and is now a SATELLITE laboratory. This enables the company to streamline performance testing of products for performance and safety, including qualification for Intertek's ETL certification, as part of its product development process.

Juan Carlos Jadraque, Director of Ingeteam's Solar Energy Division, stated that "Intertek and Ingeteam have been working together for many years, so it is a great achievement for us to join their SATELLITE program, mainly for two reasons: the first one is because it is a recognition from Intertek of a good job from our side, that has been improved year over year.

"The second reason is because we are the first Spanish company to join Intertek's SATELLITE program and this means that we are leading the way in our home market."

Ingeteam's Solar Energy Division specializes in applying technology and innovation to the development of photovoltaic (PV) inverters; also providing control solutions and maintenance services for the renewable power plants.

Promoting the generation of energy from natural sources is integral to Ingeteam's corporate environmental policy. Mr. Jadraque believes that this recognition from Intertek will help Ingeteam to gain relevance in the U.S. market, where the company has been present for many years with a production facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
