Northrop Grumman received a $91 million contract modification to supply electronic attack capabilities for Australia's EA-18G Growler aircraft. The modification was awarded by the U.S. Navy, and also includes domestic orders for the branch. Northrop Grumman will be tasked with design, development and implementation of airborne electronic attack requirements for software configuration set upgrades. The U.S. Department of Defense says the work will be performed in Pt. Mugu, Calif., and expects it to be complete by July 2019. The contract combines purchases for the Navy and the government of Australia under the foreign military sales program. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division is the contracting activity. The Boeing EA-18G Growler is a modified version of the F/A-18 Super Hornet. The carrier-based jet uses electronic warfare capabilities primarily provided by Northrop Grumman. Australia and the United States are the only primary operators for the aircraft.
Boeing to provide C-17 training for UAEArlington, Va.
