Centrosolar Canada, a wholly owned subsidiary of Centrosolar Group AG has announced the introduction of the CentroSchool training program to the Ontario solar market.

Centrosolar has been training businesses and licensed electrical contractors to install photovoltaic grid-tied systems with hands on courses and business seminars through CentroSchool since 2007.

The German program played a pivotal role in Germany's solar success story by training over 500 solar installers every year. CentroSchool is now the first solar training program in Ontario to provide the opportunity for solar installers and dealers to develop their sales skills along with their technical expertise.

The program is designed for both new and established solar installers, new and newly interested tradesman just getting into solar, salespeople and small business owners committed to expanding their solar business.

"The industry is maturing and competition is growing among Ontario's installer trades and dealers," notes Centrosolar Canada CEO Deep Chakraborty.

"This is the right time to take training opportunities to the next level and provide the skill sets and competitive edge they need to build their sales and take their business to the next level."

The solar sales training includes the latest in professionally developed sales techniques and learning how to present the unique benefits of solar in an informed, compelling way.

The technical part of the program, taught by industry leaders and engineers, offers training in all aspects of grid-tied PV installations focusing on systems using the CentroPack, a German engineered pre-packaged solar option for installers using Centrosolar modules and SMA or Fronius inverters.

"CentroSchool brings Centrosolar's tradition of excellence in German engineering to Ontario's skilled workforce at a time when the province is committed to developing the solar power industry, "added Chakraborty.

The first CentroSchool is scheduled over four days, February 7-10, with the first two days dedicated to solar sales skills and training, followed by two days of technical training. The sales and technical training can be taken together or separately. The programs will be held at the Delta Markham Hotel in Toronto and at the Centrosolar Canada Warehouse in Markham.
