Areva postpones start of Finnish nuclear reactor
Paris (AFP) June 7, 2010
French nuclear giant Areva on Monday announced a fresh six-month delay to its third generation EPR nuclear reactor in Finland, with the plant now not operational before the end of 2012. The Olkiluoto reactor was initially to enter service in mid-2009. Areva in its last note to its Finnish client TVO put the start-up in mid-2012. Belgium denies reports it wants more from GDF Suez

The Belgian government on Friday denied press reports it wanted to slap an additional charge on French group GDF Suez for extending the life of GDF's nuclear plants in Belgium.
