The Saudi cabinet agreed on Monday to sign a nuclear cooperation accord with France, which could open the way for French help in developing nuclear power in the oil-rich kingdom. S.Korea's Doosan wins 3.9 billion dollar reactor order

Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction, South Korea's leading power equipment manufacturer, said Thursday it had won a 3.9 billion dollar order to provide nuclear reactors to the United Arab Emirates. The order came from state-run Korea Electric Power Corp. Last December a KEPCO-led consortium won a landmark 20 billion dollar deal to design, build and operate four 1,400-megawatt reactors by 2020 in the UAE.
