With decades of experience in nuclear fuel innovation and manufacturing, Framatome will produce the assemblies at its Richland, Washington facility in the United States. This site has maintained the highest U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission performance rating for 18 years and has delivered over 6,000 assemblies for Combustion Engineering design reactors, the same type used at Barakah.
Framatome will also contribute engineering services from its Lynchburg, Virginia base, supporting ENEC's long-term strategy to enhance energy security by maintaining an uninterrupted supply of carbon-free power across the UAE.
